Is it proper etiquette to put Sr. after my dads name on his stone or leave it off?

Hi sds29.  You definitely should include that for your Dad.  When you are transcribing, you can see below the main line an option to open up "advanced options."  Click on that and it provides a spot to put a maiden name, marriage date, suffix, and age at death (only to be filled in if specifically noted on the stone - do not calculate this).  The "Sr" for your Dad should go in the suffix area.  I've never quite figured out why BG believes those items are "advanced" and require an extra click to reveal them, but that is where it is located.  Thanks for asking!
